Art, Music and Recreation

The Milwaukee Public Library's Autograph Book is available for public display only on rare occasions. This unique piece contains 2,300 signatures of prominent Americans collected between 1896 and 1898 as a fund raiser for Milwaukee's monument to its Union soldiers. Signatures include those of presidents, politicians, artists and celebrities of the day.
