Thank You for Thinking of the Library
Gifts of books and other materials will be accepted by the Friends of the Milwaukee Public Library, a volunteer organization which operates the Bookseller Used Book Store at Central Library. All donations will be considered for sale in the Bookseller or at a used book sale. The Friends will grant back proceeds to the Library to purchase new materials.
When appropriate, desired materials will be routed to a Central Library subject department to be considered for addition to the Library’s collection. Due to the high volume of gift materials and the time associated with handling these materials, the Friends and the Library must be selective about the kinds of materials that will be accepted, and the selection criteria is detailed below.
The Bookseller Used Book Store will consider only those items that are in good condition and may accept the following items for sale:
Fiction and nonfiction, including paperbacks
Children’s fiction, non-fiction, music CDs, DVDs and VHS
