All children's programs held at the library reinforce these skills. Search the Library Events Calendar for Books2Go programs and activities at your library such as:

Early Learning Family Nights
Center Street and Martin Luther King Libraries feature Family Nights designed to teach children five and younger literacy through play. Parents will learn how to help develop the Six Skills for Early Literacy with their children. Family Nights include a light dinner, story time, and interactive play. A facilitator is present at all the Family Nights to introduce the evenings activity and to answer any questions parents may have on ways they can develop their children's pre-reading skills. Children must be accompanied by a parent. To register, call or stop in the library. Walk-ins welcome if space is available.
