What can I renew online?
Most items checked out for three weeks may be renewed two times. The new
due date will be three weeks from the day you renew an item.
Some libraries allow seven day items to be renewed two times. The new
due date will be seven days from the day you renew an item.
Items on hold for another patron may not be renewed.
Items on loan for three weeks can be renewed as early as seven days before the due date.
Items on loan for seven days can be renewed as early as three days before the due date.
Overdue items may be renewed, but you will still be charged overdue fines for the period in which the item was overdue.
How do I renew online?
Your library card must be in good standing.
Log on to www.mpl.org.
Click on "Library Catalog."
From the main menu of CountyCat, under "Access My Account,"
enter the barcode number from your library card and your PIN.
Click on "Items currently checked out."
To renew all items, click on "Renew All."
To renew individual items, click on the small box in the left column next to the title of the item you wish to renew. Then click "Renew Selected Items."
Note the new due date.
How do I renew by phone?
You must have a touch-tone phone to renew by phone.
You will need the barcode number on your library card and the barcode numbers of the materials you wish to renew.
Dial (414) 277-0183.
You may choose to renew all items, or one item at a time.
If you renew all items the system will repeat the barcodes for the materials that have been renewed and give you the new due date. Be sure to remain on the line until the system has finished repeating all the barcodes.
If you renew items one at a time you will need to enter the last four digits of the barcode for each item you wish to renew. The system will tell you the item has been renewed and give you the new due date.
