Librarians have compiled a resource guide to basic skills and tutoring programs for youth and adults available in the metropolitan Milwaukee area. Tutoring services change often. Please call the agency directly for current information.

National Institute for Literacy is an online directory of literacy and tutoring programs. Enter zip code or city and state to find programs that will help with reading and writing, GED, English as a second language, and math skills.

Literacy Volunteers of America (LVA) is a not-for-profit educational organization that provides goal-oriented tutoring, one-to-one or in small groups, at no charge to the student. The site contains a helpful list of links to other literacy resources.
