Future plans: I plan on going to college, maybe Truth University or Georgetown University. I want to go to medical school and become a cardiac surgeon.

Future plans: I hope to become an international attorney
Favorite library moment: In 6th grade when we had a library class to learn more about how to find books, etc.

Future plans: Go to a good college, get a degree in criminal justice, go to law school, become a defense attorney.
Favorite library moment: When I find a book there that I have been waiting to read for months.

As a teen advisor, I hope to accomplish the goal of getting more teens to go to the library for educational reasons.

SOJOURNER - Grade 8 MAGGIE - Grade 8

Roosevelt Middle School of the Arts
Future plans: To finish middle school strong and proud, start and complete high school on a good note, and attend college. After I complete my school years, I'll see where the road will take me.
Favorite library moment: My favorite library moment was attending the Seedfolks Youth Ministry Book Club at Capitol Library over the summer. We read books that interested teens like myself and others.
Favorite line: "A mistake isn't a mistake until you don't correct it."
Best movie ever made: The Color Purple because it's a memorable movie and had memorable roles.
Weirdest food eaten: Jicama. Jicama is a vegetable that has a taste I can't even describe, it was so weird!
Unknown Facts about me: Most people don't know that I call my mean, evil side Sasha! Being mean and evil is totally out of character for me so I think another person takes over my body. She hardly comes out so that's good!
As a teen advisor, I hope to accomplish the task of getting more people, mainly teens, involved in different events. 

Cudahy Middle School
Future plans:  When I am out of high school, I would like to become a marine biologist.  For the first couple years of college, I would like to go to a school here in Wisconsin.  Then, I would like to do my graduate studies at Berkeley College in California.  I would love to get an internship to go to AIMB- The Australian Institute of Marine Biology.  I would also like to finish with a PhD in science.  When I am done with college, I would like to become an environmental marine biologist, but quite recently, I have thought about becoming a lawyer.  Maybe I can combine them both!  After I travel the world diving exotic coral reefs, I would like to go back to Berkeley and become a professor there in the science department.
Favorite library moment: When I got a job as an assistant librarian at my school’s library.
Favorite line: I love any quote from the television show The Simpsons!
Best movie ever made: A tuff choice between Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, or Singin’ in the Rain!
Weirdest food eaten: frog legs
Unknown Facts about me: Although I play the violin, I would love to play the cello!
As a teen advisor, I hope to devise a reading program that gets more kids interested in reading.  I have had an idea for awhile that every month or week, a librarian would pick out a book, and kids would have to guess what book it is from clues that the librarian gave them.  To win a prize, they have to read the book and give a quote from it or state a favorite character or chapter.

ELIZABETH - Grade 11 PAOLA - Grade 8

Future plans:  Once I'm done with high school I plan to go to college.
Favorite library moment: When I got my first library card, seriously, I wouldn't make this up.
Favorite line: " Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go." (T.S. Eliot)
Best movie ever made: In my opinion one of the best movies ever made was National Treasure, I can't wait until the sequel! Though, I also love all the Back to the Future movies, Clueless, The Bird Man of Alcatraz and other random movies too. 
Weirdest food eaten:  The weirdest food I've ever eaten was probably calamari, but now I love the stuff, everyone should give it a try. Even the picky eaters out there (like me).
Unknown Facts about me: I would rather get blood drawn than go to the dentist, for me the dentist is like constant nails on a chalkboard. That and one day I want to be president, but don't think that means I don't know how to have fun or that I'm a freak of nature, I'm just a tad dorky, aren't we all?
As a teen advisor, I hope to add even more events to get teens involved in their local libraries.

JENNIFER - Grade 11

Future plans: I want to go to college, either MIT or UW-Madison
