First Grade. First Card.
Dear First Grade Teachers:
We know how hard your students are working to become readers. We also know children with library cards are among the best readers. The First Grade Library Card Campaign is designed to assist all first graders in the City of Milwaukee in getting their library card.
This year we’re making it easier than ever – no library card applications for you to hand out!
Simply call or e-mail to set up a visit to your school. A library representative will come to your classroom and talk with your students about the public library and how to get a library card. This 30-minute visit includes a short DVD about the library and how to be a responsible library card holder. Library staff will also share some exciting new books with special appeal to first graders.
Contact us today to book your visit! Call 286-3904 or fill out the
First Grade. First Card. Classroom Visit Form.
