Les Délices Portrait of Love @ the East Branch Library Saturday, February 14th!

By Beth G on Feb 11, 2015 3:20 PM

Celebrate Valentine's Day with this program of French Baroque musical delicacies that explore amorous feelings from the heights of joy to the depths of anguish.  Oboist and recorder player Debra Nagy and viola da gambist Emily Walhout are joined by lutenist Nigel North and soprano Carrie Henneman Shaw.

Lés Delices, in collaboration with the Cleveland Classical Guitar Society, will perform Portrait of Love at the East Branch in honor of Donald J. Sager, former Milwaukee City Librarian and the first Treasurer of Early Music Now.

This engagement is supported by the Arts Midwest Touring Fund, a program of Arts Midwest, which is generously supported by the National Endowment for the Arts with additional contributions from the Wisconsin Arts Board.

The East Branch Library is located at 2320 N Cramer Street Milwaukee, WI 53211.  A surface parking lot is available, with access from both Cramer Street and Thomas Avenue.
