By Beth on Sep 17, 2015 2:20 PM

We have your Saturday plans all ready for you at the East Branch!

Start with a spin around the East Side Green Market, then stay to enjoy a special cooking demonstration provided by registered dietitian Judy Mayer from the Outpost Co-op and a Doors Open Milwaukee building tour!

All are free and open to the public, but we do ask that you pre-register for the cooking demonstration as space is limited.

Here are the details!

  • East Side Green Market, located on Cramer Street in front of the East Branch
    • Saturday, September 19, 2015 - 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
      • The East Side Green Market features locally grown produce from right here in Milwaukee, local artists, designers & crafters, sustainable living/growing demonstrations, delicious local food & drinks, and great local entertainment

  • Doors Open Milwaukee at the East Branch
    • Saturday, September 19, 2015 - 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
      • In-depth, behind-the-scenes tours every hour on the hour from 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.

  • Cooking the Harvest! Outpost Co-op Cooking Class at the East Branch
    • Saturday, September 19, 2015 - 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM
      • Outpost Co-op's registered dietitian Judy Mayer will teach you how to transform your beautiful garden harvest into a well-balanced, nutritious menu. Learn to love beets, how to smother pasta with a no-cook basil pasta sauce, and create a tasty, HEALTHY apple dessert! Samples will be provided. Good taste and good nutrition - the results are so delicious you'll want to run home and start cooking!
      • Registration required; call 286-3011 or register online.

The East Branch has a free, surface parking lot accessible from both Cramer Street and Thomas Avenue.  During the East Side Green Market, please access the lot from Thomas Avenue.

If I knew this was happening I would have never RSVP'd for that Columbia event in Chicago I would have gone Thursday night. Ugh
