More than 20% of what we send to the landfi ll is food. Join Analiese Smith from the City of Milwaukee to learn how to reduce waste with smart shopping and storage strategies. Learn how to compost food scraps and yard debris, and hear an update on the Organics Collection Pilot Program of the Department of Public Works.

Helping an Animal in Need

A representative from the Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission (MADACC) will talk about the domestic animal overpopulation problem in Milwaukee and what you can do to help. Learn the benefits of adopting a shelter animal instead of buying one from a pet store.

ECO Neighborhood Toolkit
Monday, March 12, 6-7 pm

The ECO Neighborhood Toolkit is a resource guide for neighborhood organizers designed to connect residents with city and non-profit programs and help them drive collective action in their community. Presented by the Environmental Collaboration Office (ECO) which is working to implement eco-initiatives to improve Milwaukee’s environment, create jobs, and make our neighborhoods great places to live and raise a family.
