Changing Weather and Climate in the Great Lakes Region Massive Open Online Course (MOOC)

UW-Madison, Milwaukee Public Library and 20 other public libraries around Wisconsin have joined forces to deliver a FREE Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on the topic of Changing Weather and Climate in the Great Lakes Region.

The MOOC runs Feb. 23 -  March 31, 2015.  Over the course of four weeks participants who take the MOOC will learn about the four seasons through short lectures and activities covering Great Lakes weather, observed changes in the climate and societal impacts of climate change.

What is a MOOC?

MOOCs are unique online learning experiences that allow people from around the globe and Wisconsin to participate in a non-credit learning experience. Participants sign up for free online and watch videos and participate in discussion forums. They can participate in a MOOC no matter where they are located, as long as they have an Internet connection.
