Dive into Great Lakes history!
Learn about a different aspect of the Milwaukee Public Library's Great Lakes Marine Collection each month. Of special interest to divers and genealogists, the program is free and open to anyone interested in learning more about Great Lakes history. The Wisconsin Historical Society houses its Great Lakes Marine Collection at Central Library. The collection contains information about the ships and people who sailed the Great Lakes. There is an incredible amount of information to be found, including photographs, news clippings, specifications and even some artifacts from the ships themselves. No registration is required to attend this program.
