2000 Census Data: Milwaukee
Milwaukee's Department of City Development summarizes population and housing data from the 2000 census in the Milwaukee Urban Atlas. Census tract data in Excel format and a census tract map for Milwaukee are also available.
Children in Urban America Project
This is a collection of documents and photographs about the history of children in Milwaukee from the 1850s to the present. It offers an archive of more than 5400 newspaper articles, public documents, oral histories, letters and other sources, focusing on growing up in Milwaukee over the last 150 years.

Pabst Mansion
Visit a piece of Milwaukee history. This thirty-seven room mansion, located on west Wisconsin Avenue, was the home to beer baron, Captain Frederick Pabst. Completed in 1892, this home is open to the public year round, offering general admission as well as group tours. This site offers a photo tour of the mansion’s rooms as well as historical background and event information.
Schlitz Audubon Nature Center
Located 15 minutes north of downtown Milwaukee, Schlitz Audubon Nature Center offers nature trails in the forest and along the beach of Lake Michigan. Visitors observe a wide variety of flora and fauna including some endangered species. Many special programs offered year round, are listed on this site.
SDC Energy Assistance Sites
The Social Development Commission (SDC) is the community action agency for Milwaukee County. Energy assistance programs provide financial assistance with fuel costs and restoration of utility services during the winter heating season to eligible low-income households.

Urban Ecology Center
The Urban Ecology Center is a non-profit community center located on Milwaukee's east side in Riverside Park.
