Federal Free File
The Free File program is a free federal tax preparation and electronic filing program for eligible taxpayers developed through a partnership between the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the Free File Alliance LLC, a group of private sector tax software companies. You will need to meet the financial guidelines to qualify for the free service. Note: To save tax returns on library computers you will need a disk or a key drive. Tax returns can not be saved to library computer hard drives.

The official Internal Revenue Service website. Federal tax forms, instructions, and publications for this year and past years can be printed off this site. For access to a non-governmental site that also offers the forms for printing/downloading, click here for Uncle Fed's Tax Board. Adobe Acrobat is installed on MPL's public computers to enable the printing. Note: To save tax returns on library computers you will need a disk or a keydrive. Sales Tax Clearinghouse
The Online Sales Tax Calculator which lets you fill in the blanks and get state and local sales tax rates. Fill in an amount and get the total owed in dollars and cents. Subscribe to get additional services.
