AAA Daily Fuel Gauge Report
From the American Automobile Association. Find national, state, and metropolitan area gasoline prices for regular, premium, and diesel fuel. Also lists historical fuel prices for up to one year ago.

Auto Repair Reference Center  MPL Special Link
EBSCO has partnered with Point 5 Technologies (under license from Nichols Publishing) to create the Auto Repair Reference Center. All content has been created by ASE Certified auto technicians. The database contains information on most major domestic and imported vehicles, with some makes going back to 1945. Content includes more than 31,000 vehicle specifications, over 205,000 drawings and step-by-step photographs, 130,000 electrical wiring diagrams, 75,000 technical service bulletins and recall notices, a labor time estimator, quick tips, and AutoIQ, a multimedia guide to the basic inner workings of cars. Provided as part of Wisconsin's BadgerLink program.
Library subscription. Available for use within City of Milwaukee libraries and by remote access to City of Milwaukee library cardholders.
AutoSite (AIC)
The Ultimate Automotive Buyers' Guide with auto prices, troubleshooting info, etc. from the Automotive Information Center. The AIC functions as an information clearinghouse, neutrally representing a multitude of third-party sources.
Autotropolis
Autotropolis.com is dedicated to consumers who are researching and buying new or used vehicles. The site provides interactive tools for car shoppers to complete their research. Some of the features include Autotropolis.com's True Internet Price information, a new-vehicle ranking system designed to fit model desires, interactive forums, frequently updated blogs, car-buying advice and much more.
Autovantage
This database has a useful car buying research area which allows the user to search by year, make and model. Both new cars and used cars are searchable with a nice area code and extended options component.
Car Crash Performance Tool
Insure.com provides users with information about the crash worthiness, repair costs, and premium ranking of automobiles. Included are model years 1984 through 2001.
Car Talk
The Web site of Car Talk, starring Tom and Ray Magliozzi (aka "Click and Clack The Tappet Brothers"), auto mechanics who have a weekly show on 450 National Public Radio stations, and a newspaper column in 300 papers. The Car Report feature found near the bottom of the home page will search for information on an automobile by make and model.

Incentives, pricing on new and used cars, road tests, etc. are found on this Web site sponsored by a reliable publisher.
FuelEconomy.Gov
This site from the Environmental Protection Agency tracks Gas mileage (MPG), greenhouse gas emissions, air pollution ratings, and safety information for new and used cars and trucks. Searchable by year, make or model.
GM Goodwrench
Links to free technical repair information for vehicles manufactured by General Motors.
Gold Book
Here is the site for values on classic and collectible cars. Start your search with the Price Guide, then at the top of the page, click on MAKE and follow along the prompts.
Highway Safety
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and the Highway Loss Data Institute are independent, nonprofit organizations funded by auto insurers. This site is particularly useful for vehicle ratings.
Hog Heaven : Celebrating 100 Years of Harley Davidson
This site from the Library of Congress celebrates Milwaukee's own Harley Davidson motorcycle company. Complete with history, image galleries and bibliographies.
Insurance Institute for Highway Safety
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety is an independent, nonprofit, scientific and educational organization dedicated to reducing the losses deaths, injuries, and property damage from crashes on the nation's highways. It evaluates the safety and crash worthiness of many vehicles by year, make and model.

Since 1918, the Kelley Blue Book has been the authoritative source for used vehicle values. This consumer Web site features 21 years of pricing for USED cars, trucks and vans, as well as NEW vehicle prices as soon as the pricing is released by the manufacturers.

National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA)
NHTSA compiles vehicle recall and complaints databases, statistics, and crash test data, along with information on child safety seats, the proper use of seat belts, air bags, antilock brakes, motorcycle helmet use, and alcohol programs.
National Motor Vehicle Title Information System  New!
The National Motor Vehicle Title Information System (NMVTIS) provides information on used cars including whether they have been involved in major accidents or floods or are stolen.Use the NMVTIS to access important vehicle history information including: title data, brand history, odometer reading, total loss history, and salvage history.
OnDemand5 (Formerly RepairNet)  MPL Special Link
OnDemand5 This is a newer version of RepairNet by Mitchell. It is a subscription service which allows the subscriber to search and print automotive specifications, technical service bulletins, recalls, and tech tips for domestic and import cars based on Year/Make/Model.
