Art, Music and Recreation

The Art, Music and Recreation Department, located on the west end of the Central Library's second floor, houses reference books on all aspects of the fine and decorative arts, music, architecture, folklore, costumes, sports and other forms of recreation as well as the performing arts such as theater, dance, film, radio and television.

A circulating collection of media including videos, CDs, CD-Roms, audio cassettes and LP records, is located on the east end, first floor of the Central Library.

Some of the unique items owned by Milwaukee Public Library are on display, while others may only be accessible on special occasions. Take a visual tour of these rare and special collections in the Art, Music and Recreation Department.
