Great Lakes Marine Magazines

Its large selection of journals and magazines is one of the strengths of the Great Lakes Marine Collection at the Milwaukee Public Library. More than 30 periodicals continuously update the information in the Great Lakes Ship Files.

These magazines provide information on shipping throughout the world as well as the Great Lakes. They cover ports, shipwrecks, shipbuilding, storms, captains and crew, and other current and historical information.

Titles include Inland Seas, The Beacon and Great Lakes Seaway Log. Some date back to the turn of the century. Many do not have tables of contents, but here are some that do:
