Betty Brinn Children's Museum
Betty Brinn Children's Museum offers hands-on learning experiences in a child -oriented environment crossing the disciplines of the arts, science and humanities. A special "Kids Only!" link connects to projects which can be done at home, including craft projects, puzzles and science experiments. Exhibit information and calendar are also included.

Boerner Botanical Gardens
Boerner Botanical Gardens offers many educational programs for families and children to stimulate interest and develop an appreciation and understanding of horticulture, gardening and the environment.

Discovery World
Housed in the Milwaukee Public Museum complex, Discovery World is the science, economics and technology museum featuring hands-on learning experiences for youth of all ages. The museum features a state-of-the-art digital television studio. This site includes information about current exhibits and special year round program offerings.

Eisner Museum of Advertising and Design
The Eisner Museum is an educational center with an emphasis on advertising and design and their impact on culture. This Web site offers visitor information as well as extensive background information about current exhibits. An "Educator's Corner" is also featured.

Festival City Symphony
Festival City Symphony showcases the talents of area professional musicians. Its "Symphony Sundays" concerts extend the reach of classical music in the community with reasonable pricing and interesting themes that embrace people of all ages. These family-friendly concerts engage the audience with guest artists and descriptive commentary from the stage.

First Stage Children's Theater
First Stage is a professional theater company dedicated exclusively to producing outstanding dramatic presentations for young people and their families. This site includes schedules, curriculum information for teachers, activity ideas for families, booklists and information about auditions for youth.

Havenwoods State Forest
This site lists activities in Wisconsin State parks, forests and other nature areas under the auspices of the Department of Natural Resources. One of these, Havenwoods State Forest, is located in northern Milwaukee. The Environmental Education Center offers programs for children pre-school through 12 years, providing explorations of the natural environment.

Historic Milwaukee
This non-profit educational organization presents programs to increase community awareness of Milwaukee's historical and architectural heritage. Walking and bus tours, student tours, specialized lectures and slide presentations are available. This site includes an extensive schedule of events for the current year.

M and W Productions
This professional theater group presents children's theater for the family and groups of all ages at affordable prices. Information on current and future productions as well as ticket information can be found at this site.

Miller Park
Besides schedule and ticket information for Milwaukee Brewer baseball games, this site includes a special "Kids Stuff" page, which lists incentive programs and events planned especially for children. Also included is a list of scheduled discount days for kids and seniors.

Milwaukee Art Museum
Located on Milwaukee's lakefront and featuring a Santiago Calatrava designed addition and the beautiful Burke Brise Soleil, the Milwaukee Art Museum houses nearly 20,000 pieces of art from antiquity to the present. Tours as well as art classes are offered for children. This site provides extensive information on current exhibitions, class and workshop schedules as well as a listing of special offerings for school tour groups.

Milwaukee County Zoo
The Milwaukee County Zoo offers many educational programs for all ages, stressing the importance of wildlife and the environment. This site lists tours, exhibits and other special program offerings as well as a schedule including " Family Free Days." "Fun Stuff" links to an activity page especially for children.

Milwaukee Public Museum
Milwaukee's museum of human and natural history features permanent and changing exhibits. Also housed in the museum, are the Humphrey IMAX Dome Theater and Discovery World, an interactive museum of science and technology. This site lists all special programs and events including those designed especially for school groups.

Pabst Mansion
Visit a piece of Milwaukee history. This thirty-seven room mansion, located on west Wisconsin Avenue, was the home to beer baron, Captain Frederick Pabst. Completed in 1892, this home is open to the public year round, offering general admission as well as group tours. This site offers a photo tour of the mansion's rooms as well as historical background and event information.

Pettit National Ice Center
The Pettit National Ice Center is the U.S. Olympic National Training Facility. The only facility of its kind in the United States, the Pettit Center is open to the public, offering classes and recreational skating for the whole family. This site offers further schedule information for world class fun.

Schlitz Audubon Nature Center
Located 15 minutes north of downtown Milwaukee, Schlitz Audubon Nature Center offers nature trails in the forest and along the beach of Lake Michigan. Visitors observe a wide variety of flora and fauna including some endangered species. Many special programs offered year round, are listed on this site.

Urban Ecology Center
The Urban Ecology Center is a non-profit community center located on Milwaukee's east side in Riverside Park. The center is dedicated to the promotion of environmental awareness for children and families. Live animals can be observed at the center. Links provide information about specific school and family programs and special events such as an Earth Day celebration and maple sugaring. Events for children, high school youth and adults are included.

Wehr Nature Center
Located in Whitnall Park, Franklin, WI, Wehr Nature Center offers programs which allow the whole family to explore the natural environment. Divided according to age range, pre-school through 12 years, this site lists scheduled children's programs.
