Reading with your child on a regular basis is not only a fun bonding activity, it is also the single most important thing you can do to help your child become a reader.  It’s never too early to start reading to your child.  Reading together from birth lays the foundation for literacy skills your child will need later in life.

The library is the perfect place to spend a morning or afternoon reading with your child or attending one of the many weekly programs. The library will be hosting Curious George Family Story Times at all locations in addition to our regular story times and programs for children.  The whole family is invited to hear some great stories, sing some songs and participate in the fun.

Have fun reading together and earn a free coupon to the "Curious George: ™ Let’s Get Curious!" exhibit at the Betty Brinn Children’s Museum.  Enter grand prize drawings at the library each month for fabulous prizes from the Betty Brinn Children’s Museum, First Stage Children’s Theater and the Milwaukee Public Museum.

Sign up to join the library’s e-notification system and be notified about upcoming events at the library.
