Poetry Books and Web Sites

Milwaukee Public Library is one of seven public libraries nationwide invited to participate in this poetry project. Funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities, the joint project of Poets House and the Poetry Society of America will bring six poet/scholars to present engaging talks on major poets of the late 19th and 20th centuries.

The signature programs of these two organizations, Poetry in the Branches and Poetry in Motion, will provide a rich poetry backdrop for the Branching Out talks. Poetry in Motion will put poetry placards on Milwaukee County Transit System busses.
