E-books
on netLibrary are read online through your Web browser;
they are not downloaded to your computer or sent to you in the mail.
You will find many general interest, reference, technical, and how-to
e-books. It may be useful to do a keyword search to find specific passages
of interest rather than to try to read an entire book on the computer.
netLibrary offers two kinds of e-books on its Web site:
Library Collection
books are available through Milwaukee Public Library's connection
to netLibrary.
This
collection includes 8,000+ non-fiction copyrighted titles from
the Private Collection to which Milwaukee County Federated
Library System
subscribes.
Public Collection
books are available for free to anyone in the world and include
many classic titles that are in the public domain and no longer
under copyright protection. These include political speeches and
documents such as the U.S. Declaration of Independence.
