Local History Manuscript Collections at the Milwaukee Public Library document personal, professional, organizational, and cultural history of Milwaukee. Collections may include journals, manuscripts, documents, business records, reports, studies, scrapbooks, photographs, maps, ephemera, and other primary and secondary sources. These collections are part of the Central Library’s Humanities and Archives Department. These holdings are in differing stages of organization and preparation, hence accessibility varies.
