Third Tuesday of the month 1:30-3:00 pm
Memory Cafés offer people with dementia and their care partners the opportunity to enjoy regular, enjoyable social interaction with others in similar circumstances in a safe, welcoming environment. The Cafes will be held the third Tuesday of every month at a rotating list of Milwaukee Public Library Branch Libraries.
Each café will offer a fun, interactive program along with refreshments. First time attendees must register with the Alzheimer’s Association of Southeastern Wisconsin at 1.800.272.3900.
The kick-off event will be held Tuesday, April 17 at the Villard Square Branch and will feature John McFadden, coauthor with his wife Susan of Aging Together: Dementia, Friendship, and Flourishing Communities. Together they serve with the Fox Valley Memory Project, a dementia-friendly community initiative.
