Milwaukee Road LogoMilwaukee Road Archives

The Milwaukee Public Library was designated as the official archives of the Milwaukee Road collection in 1981, when it began receiving historical materials from the railroad. More materials were transferred to the library with the shift of the Milwaukee Road to the Soo Line. The collection is very large, with valuable materials for the historian as well as the railroad hobbyist. The archives are not available for walk in service. Please click on Inquiry Form for more information on making requests. For more information, please browse the links below or contact the Frank P. Zeidler Humanities Room of the Central Library at (414) 286-3061 or e-mail mkeroad@milwaukee.gov.
