Explore your city! Celebrate art and culture in Milwaukee with the Milwaukee Public Library this summer.
 

The Teen Summer Challenge is open to ages 13-18

How to Participate

Step 1

  • Visit any Milwaukee Public Library or sign up at mpl.beanstack.org to get started. You can also download and print a tracker here. [English | Spanish]
  • Make sure to stop by the library to choose a free book and bus tickets to help you read, get creative and discover something new this summer.

Step 2

  • Earn points by reading, getting creative, and exploring Milwaukee neighborhoods, public art, and library branches! Complete an activity, get a point. You can mix and match activities. Repeats allowed. Every point counts toward your summer goal.
  • Activities:
  • Check in at your favorite branch to share your progress and to receive great reading recommendations throughout the summer.

Step 4

  • Finish the program by earning 30 points!

Important Dates

Wednesday, June 1         1st day to sign up in person or online and begin tracking

Wednesday, Aug. 31       Last day to track your progress and pick up a new book to take home at MPL
