Partnership Opportunities
At Milwaukee Public Library (MPL), we believe great things happen when we work together. Partnerships and collaborations help us expand access to valuable services, respond to community needs, create engaging programs, and connect more people to resources that enrich their lives.
Let’s work together to build a stronger, more connected Milwaukee!
Guidelines for Collaboration
To ensure successful partnerships or collaborations, the following should be present:
- Mutual Benefit: collaborations should offer advantages to all involved parties.
- Community Focus: Initiatives should serve the interests of Milwaukee residents.
- Resource Sharing: Both MPL and external parties should contribute resources such as time, space, or expertise.
- Adherence to Policies: All individuals and organizations must comply with MPL's Code of Conduct and Meeting Spaces Policy. All requests for partnership will be considered using the criteria in the MPL Partnership Policy.
Getting Started
Organizations interested in collaborating with MPL are encouraged to submit a Collaboration Request Form. Examples of collaboration requests include, but are not limited to:
- Partnering with MPL on a initiative, program, or service
- Presenting a program for adults or youth at MPL
- Hosting an information table at an MPL location
- Requesting space for a display or exhibit at an MPL location
Applications are reviewed every two weeks, and we recommend submitting time-sensitive requests at least two months in advance.
