Story Cart at Mitchell Street

Monday, July 22, 2024 - 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Audience: Adults/ Older Adults/ Children

Categories: Community Groups, Educational Interest

C21's Mobile Story Cart is designed as a site for exchange, collaboration, and learning through story. Each year the Story Cart will focus on a theme that is part of C21's extensive programming (podcasts, roundtable discussions, online resources). The C21 team designs a survey that invites stories in response to that theme. C21 hires and trains students to accompany the Story Cart to a range of locations across Milwaukee. Stories might be shared through drawings, video, or audio recordings. In 2024, the Story Cart will explore the themes of C21's yearly symposia, issues related to Trust & The Vote. Our team of Story Fellows, along with an array of community partners such as the League of Women Voters, will collect stories through two interactive engagements - a playful sliding scale between Trust Vs Distrust, and the "Teach a Kid to Vote Challenge."
