Honor Pride Month at the Milwaukee Public Library's Bay View Branch by joining us to view the PBS Wisconsin documentary, Wisconsin Pride. This documentary consists of two parts which will be shown over the course of two days. Part 1 of the two-hour documentary will be screened on Monday, June 24th followed by Part 2 on Tuesday, June 25th from 6-7pm. Light refreshments will be served at both viewings. Part 1 of the film, Hidden Histories, explores how diversity in sexual orientation, gender identity and expression are a normal part of the human experience. Part 2 of the film, Struggles and Victories, explores how forward-looking Wisconsinites challenged LGBTQ+ harassment and injustice in visionary ways, long before these efforts received national attention. Brought to you by PBS Wisconsin & the Wisconsin Historical Society
