First Grade Library Card Campaign Visit for Grade 1 (45-60 minutes)

Students will enjoy a read aloud, learn about getting & using a library card, and learn about different library materials. Students will also hear book talks about high-interest fiction and nonfiction titles.

Explore the Library Visit for Grade 2 (45-60 minutes)

Students will enjoy a read aloud and learn about different library materials. Students will also hear book talks about high-interest fiction and nonfiction titles.

Information Literacy Visit for Grades 3-4 (45-60 minutes)

Students will participate in a collaborative activity designed to develop information literacy skills. Students will also hear book talks about high-interest fiction and nonfiction titles.

Research Visit for Grades 5+ (45-60 minutes)

Students will participate in an interactive research activity using a variety of electronic and print resources. Students will also hear book talks about high-interest fiction and nonfiction titles.

Makerspace Visit for Grades 6-12 (60 minutes)

Visit an MPL Makerspace to engage in a hands-on activity and learn more about all that the library has to offer in its Makerspaces.

LibraryNow Visit for Grades 1-12 (45-60 minutes)

Students at participating schools will learn more about the library's online resources accessible with their student ID number through LibraryNow. Students will also hear book talks about high-interest fiction and nonfiction titles.

Summer Reading Program Informational Visit (30-45 minutes) May-August only

Students will learn about the library's summer reading program and hear book talks about high-interest fiction and nonfiction titles.
