Mom's Mental Health Initiative at Zablocki

Tuesday, May 07, 2024 - 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM

Audience: Adults/ Older Adults

Categories: Health & Wellness, Educational Interest

Sarah Ornst Bloomquist, PMH-C, CFLE, will share about perinatal mental health conditions, like postpartum depression and anxiety, that can impact people from the time they decide they want to be a parent through approximately 18 months postpartum. As a survivor, Sarah leaves the textbooks behind and shares signs and symptoms of these conditions as they really show up. She will also address what moms need as they go through these conditions. Whether you're considering becoming a parent, a new parent or a support person to new parents, you'll walk away feeling empowered to notice a perinatal mental health condition and take action. Moms Mental Health Initiative is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping moms navigate perinatal mood and anxiety disorders by sharing information, connecting them to resources and providing peer-driven support.
